Dr. Alfred Klee, one-time vice-president of the Berlin Jewish community and a noted German Zionist leader, has died in the Westerbork concentration camp in Holland, according to advices received here. He was 68.
After establishing residence in Amsterdam, Dr. Klee took an active part in the affairs of the Netherlands Jewish community and was a member of the Jewish council in Amsterdam and, later, of the council established at the Westerbork camp. Born in Berlin, he joined the Zionist movement as a young man and was a collaborator of Theodore Herzl and other Zionist pioneers.
