Dr. Alexander M. Dushkin, who is to leave today for Palestine to assume the post of Professor in Education at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, was feted by the American Committee for the university at a farewell dinner at the Jewish Theological Seminary, Broadway and 122d street.
Prominent educators in Jewish and non-Jewish life landed Dr. Dushkin’s work in the field of education before the 125 persons who attended the event Saturday evening.
Among them were Dr. Samson Benderly, chairman for the occasion; Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, Bernard Semel, Israel S. Chipkin, Dr. William H. Kilpatrick and Edward A. Norman. Dr. Nathan Ratnoff and Z. Scharfstein also spoke. A. P. Schoolman was chairman of the executive committee which arranged the affair.
