Dr. William Filderman of Bucharest. Roumania, president of the Union of Roumanian Jews, was the guest of the Constitution Grand Lodge yesterday at a luncheon at the Hotel Sinton. In the evening the local B’nai B’rith Lodge arranged a meeting at which Dr. Filderman conferred with the officers of the I. O. B. B. as a representative Ben B’rith of Roumania.

Two thousand women participated in the Palestine celebration, held under the auspices of the Women’s League of the Keren Hayesod on Monday at the Hotel Pennsylvania, New York.
Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver of Cleveland, O., addressed the gathering. Mrs. Richard Gottheil, President of the Women’s League, also spoke at the meeting.
The Women’s League raised $54,124 during the campaign for the United Palestine Appeal, according to reports submitted.
