Suffering from nervous troubles Dr. Martin Friedland, 50 years old, a dentist specialist, committed suicide by inhaling an aesthetic gas in his office, 4 W. 126th Street, while sitting in the patient’s chair. His body was discovered yesterday by his wife after had been missing from his summer home in Sea Gate for twenty-four hours.
Dr. Friedland was born in Russia and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1894. He practiced for more than twenty years in Harlem. Recently he suffered from nervous troubles and had been under a doctor’s treatment.
