Concern for the safety of the 500,000 Jews of French North Africa, in the face of rising Arab nationalism there, was voiced today by Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the American Jewish Congress, following his return from Israel and a tour of the French protectorate of Morocco.

Dr. Goldstein praised the work of the Jewish Agency, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Alliance Israelite Universelle of France, OSE medical service for children and ORT vocational training service for efforts to alleviate the offering and misery of North African Jews and to prepare them for immigration to Israel.
