A suggestion that the Israel coalition Government be widened to include groups representing the “small man” was made here today by Dr. Israel Goldstein at a press conference held prior to his departure from Israel to the United States, after serving for about a year as treasurer of the Jewish Agency. A wider coalition cabinet, he said, can lead to a state of economic prosperity in the country.
Dr. Goldstein, who left by air for Paris on route to New York, emphasized that whatever party strife and personal disagreements may exist in the ranks of American Jews, their devotion to Israel will not decrease. “They will always fulfill their moral obligations,” he declared.
