A new surgical operation for Parkinson’s disease, also known as shaking palsy, was described here yesterday by Dr. Judah Ebin, of the neurological staff of Beth Israel Hospital, at a meeting of the New York Neurological Society. Dr. Ebin, still in his thirties, is the son of the late Mizrachi leader, Rabbi Nachman H. Ebin.
Dr. Ebin reported that the new surgery, which he devised, and which has already been attempted on 11 victims of paralysis agitans, had produced better results than any other surgical procedure previously employed.
