Dr. Julius Blau, president of the Jewish community of Frankfurt, yesterday issued and appeal to the Jews to abstain from close social relations with Aryans, Dr. Blau’s appeal is the result of the renewed campaign in the Nazi press urging “Aryan” girls not to associate with Jews. “The Jewish situation in Germany has not changed during the year, Dr. Blau’s appeal pointed out.
In a number of cases Jews were punished either by the Nazi authorities or by Nazi mobs for daring to associate with “Aryan” girls. Jewish employers were forced to dismiss “Aryan” secretaries. “Protective arrest” and confinement to the dreaded concentration camps was common punishment for association with “Aryan” girls.
