Dr. Katznelson, of the Palestine Jewish National Council, now visiting London, declared in comment on the Jerusalem message:

“If the British Government will grant the necessary permission, 10,000 Jewish children from Nazi Germany will be placed in children’s agricultural settlements, farms and private homes. The full cost of transport, maintenance, education and vocational training would be borne by the Palestine Jewish Community and Jews throughout the world. Jewish immigration experts say that some 40,000 refugees can be settled in Palestine in six months — 10,000 children up to the age of 14,5,000 from 14 to 17, 7,500 from 18 to 35,10,000 young men and women now in training centers in central and Eastern Europe, and 7,000 relatives of German Jews in Palestine. Such immigration to Palestine would be possible if the British Government were willing to relax its restrictions in view of the present urgent need.”
