The Actions Committee is scheduled to meet twice a year according to the constitution. The present meeting is the first however, since the World Zionist Congress in Basle last year and takes place one year after the election of its 52 members at the Zionist Congress.
Some consternation was also caused by Richard Lichtheim, German Revisionist leader, who welcomed what he termed the friendlier spirit in the Actions Committee and expressed the view that the differences in point of view between the Zionist Executive and the Revisionists are diminishing.
The Revisionists comprise 20 percent of the membership of the Actions Committee. Together with the Mizrachi and the so called B group of the general Zionists, they form a majority.
Dr. Arthur Ruppin, colonization expert, urged the necessity of inducing the government to develope intensive colonization to enable large settlement of Jews on the land.
