Burial services will be held in Israel for Dr. Lev Zelmanowitz, a former Zionist leader in Czechoslovakia and former secretary-general of the British section of the World Jewish Congress, who died in Cologne at the age of 62. Dr. Zelmanowitz was born in Cracow and lived in Prague until the Nazi occupation when he came to England as a refugee. He was associated with the World Jewish Congress from 1947 to 1951 when he joined a law firm acting on behalf of Jewish claimants for German reparations. His work required him to live in West Germany.
