Western Reserve University announced today that Dr. Bernard Martin of St. Paul, Minnesota, has been named to fill the Chair of Jewish Studies established last fall in memory of Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver. The Jewish Studies Chair was made possible by a $500,000 grant, with three Cleveland philanthropic foundations each contributing one-third.
