Dr. Ernest Marton veteran Hungarian Zionist and editor of the Hungarian-language daily newspaper UJ Kelet, here, died suddenly last night while at his editor’s desk. He was 64.
Born in Transylvania, Dr. Marton was, for a time, deputy mayor of Cluj, in Hungary, and a member of the Hungarian Parliament before the war. He was the founder and editor of a Zionist newspaper, also named UJ Kelet, in Transylvania, before coming to this country.
