Dr. Ricardo Dubrowsky, president of the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, died here yesterday of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 49.
Dr. Dubrowsky came of a family which settled in Jewish colonies in this country several generations ago. At 21 he was a graduate of a medical school and through the years has become a well known obstetrician in the this city. Last year he was named a full professor of obstetrics at Buenos Aires University and director of the maternity division of Rawson Hospital here. He was also the author of a number of medical works.
A leader of Argentine Jewry for many years. Dr. Dubrowsky was a member of the board of directors of the Jewish Colonization Association and a member of the executive of the World Jewish Congress. Messages of condolence have been arriving at the home of his family land at DAIA offices from Jewish and non-Jewish leader in every field of endeavor, including government circles.
