Dr. Rosen Leaves for Sosua; JDC Sends Matzohs for Refugees in Dominican Republic

Dr. Joseph Rosen, chairman of the executive committee of the Dominican Republic Settlement Association, today left here for the Dominican Republic to inspect the refugee colonization work in the Jewish colony of Sosue there. He will remain in Sosua for several weeks.

A large group of Jewish refugees from Europe are expected to reach the Dominican Republic in the next few days. The Joint Distribution Committee announced today that it has sent a shipment of matzohs to the Sosua colony which will reach the refugees there in sufficient time for Passover.
