Dr. Bela Schick, world famous pediatrician, immunologist and discoverer of the Schick test for diphtheria, was honored here last night by the American Jewish Congress.
D Schick was presented with an “Award for Service to Mankind” which was in the form of a leather-bound volume containing congratulatory messages to Dr. Schick on the occasion of his 80th birthday which was celebrated earlier in the year, More than 450 physicians, scientists and representatives of health and medical groups attended the dinner last night.
