Dr. Ben M. Selekman, president of the National Conference of Jewish Social Service and director of the Boston Associated Jewish Philanthropies, will speak Thursday evening at a meeting of the Friends of Hebrew Teachers College. Professor Nathan Isaacs of Harvard University will preside at the meeting to be held in the library auditorium of the college in Roxbury.
The meeting was called by graduates of New England colleges and professional schools to increase the efficiency and usefulness of the teachers college and to encourage greater self-development of affiliated members.
The noted printer Aldus Manutius was a friend of Gerson Soncino.
