Dr. Werner Senator, sole non-Zionist member of the Jewish Agency executive residing in Palestine, resigned today. He sent a cable to Dr. Weizmann explaining that his resignation was due to differences with the present Zionist policy.
Dr. Nahum Goldmann, prior to leaving Palestine today, issued a statement to the press emphasizing that the deliberations of the world Zionist executive and of the Small Zionist Actions Committee have been of great value, because they maintained unity within the executive and within the Zionist movement despite natural unavoidable differences of opinions. “This in itself is a great achievement,” Dr. Goldmann said. “As to the policy determined upon, I think it combines firmness and our determination to fight the White Paper.”
Dr. Goldmann expressed the conviction that no decision with regard to Palestine can be implemented unless it takes into consideration the will of the Jews of Palestine. “We are too strong to be overlooked or brushed aside,” he declared.
