Dr. Serge Koussevitzky, world renowned conductor emeritus of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, who is visiting here, announced yesterday that he has contributed his entire musical library to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
A part of the library — the Bach section — has already arrived and the remainder is being crated in France, where it has been stored as Dr. Koussevitzky collected it over the period of the last 30 years. The conductor, who will lead the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in 16 concerts, made his gift on condition that the University make available the scores and manuscripts to any worthy Israel organization requesting them.
