Dr. Drummond Shiels, Under-Secretary of the Colonial Office, who visited Palestine on an “unofficial mission” during the Parliamentary vacation, returned to London last night in a state of ill-health. Dr. Shiels is suffering from a return of food-poisoning, which he contracted in Egypt.
He declared that he felt better in Palestine, but worse on his return journey. Dr. Shiels is being given expert attention, but will probably be unable to attend the House of Commons for some time, and will therefore probably not be present at the debates on Palestine.
