Dr. Solomon Solis-Cohen, eminent physician and professor emeritus of the Jefferson Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in this country, has accepted the position of medical director of the new Jewish Convalescent Home about to be erected at Willowgrove, according to an announcement made by Mr. Maurice Steppacher, president of the institution. This acceptance on the part of Dr. Cohen is considered a step forward in the development of the Jewish Convalescent Home, a constituency of the Federation of Jewish Charities. Dr. Cohen is known as one of the leading exponents of the convalescent idea in this country.
The new Convalescent Home is being erected at a cost of $350,000.
Dr. Solomon Solis-Cohen is not to be identified with his late brother, Jacob da Silver Solis-Cohen, who died Dec. 22,1927.
