The Jewish National Fund today announced that Dr. Moses Cyrus Weiler, one of the foremost spiritual and Zionist leaders of South Africa, was appointed as personal advisor to the chairman of the board of directors of the JNF. Dr. Weiler will deal specifically with matters appertaining to the international Jewish organizations and the Jewry on the American continent.
Dr. Weiler’s contacts with the Jewish National Fund before his settling in Israel four years ago, were always strong. He served as vice-chairman of the Jewish National Fund of Southern Africa for many years. Since his settlement in Israel he serves on the executives of the World Jewish Congress and the World Hebrew Union and on the international Committee of Beth Hatfutzot to be named after Dr. Nahum Goldmann. He is also a member of the Israel executives of CRT, CSE and the Maritime League.
