Dr. Weizmann told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here to-day that he is proceeding to Palestine at the end of the month. He denied all rumours that his visit was connected with a move towards a Round Table Conference between Jews and Arabs. He is going, he said, on his annual visit to his mother, who lives in Palestine, and also to gather fresh impressions of the present situation in Palestine, in order to be able to tell the American Jews on his forthcoming tour in America how things really are in Palestine.
The first part of the negotiations between the Jewish Agency and the Government have been concluded, the J.T.A. understands and a Statement may be published on Thursday. The second part of the negotiations will be opened in the third week of the present month, and Dr. Weizmann being still in London then, will attend the opening Session. Dr. Ruppin, the Palestine colonisation expert, and a member of the Jewish Agency Executive, is coming from Palestine to take part in the negotiations which will largely turn on the colonisation and immigration prospects in Palestine.
