Dr. Yair Sharav, the newly appointed Dean of the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Dental Medicine, has warned that Israel is short of 800 dentists at present. Because the average age of many dentists is high, the shortage will rise by another 1000 in the next five to ten years, he said.
