Drastic action against the Jews of Paris will be resumed soon, it was indicated by a German general addressing French policemen in Paris police headquarters.

Paris newspapers reaching here today report that the German general expressed his thanks to the French policemen for rounding up those persons allegedly responsible for the assassination of the Elite Storm Troop leader von Ritter, among whom, he said, were “many Jews.” The result of the roundup justifies further action against the Jews in Paris, the general is reported to have told the policemen.

The Swiss press reports today that a new census of all Jews in Paris was taken last week. All Jews in the French capital were ordered to report between December 1 and 8 to police stations with their identification documents, the report states. French Jews were given documents different than the ones issued to foreign-born and stateless Jews.
