The week of Passover has been set aside for an intensive membership campaign drive for the Zionist Organization of America throughout eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, the Regional Executive Committee announced.
Representatives of communities in the region attended the conference and reviewed Zionist problems confronting them. Benjamin L. Rubinsohn, chairman of the region, stressed the need for a renewal of Zionist activities. Since 1929 there has been little or no Zionist endeavor in this part of the country he asserted. This is especially true of the smaller communities. The time has come, when they should join with the larger communities for an intensive effort. At no time was the need greater and the challenge more direct, Rubinsohn declared. He also advocated a coordination of all Zionist activity throughout the region to achieve greater results.
Rabbi Max D. Klein, chairman of the Philadelphia Branch Zionist Organization, recommended setting aside a week during which the entire region would concentrate on enlisting members.
