Foreshadowing strong action against the Fascist anti-Semitic Iron Guard, Premier George Tatarescu reshuffled his cabinet today. The action had the approval of King Carol.
The pro-Fascist Interior Minister Demeter Juca was shifted to Minister Without Portfolio, the duties of the Interior Ministry being assumed by Premier Tatarescu.
At the same time the post of Vice-Minister of the Interior was assigned to Bucharest Chief of Police General Gabriel Marinesco, regarded as King Carol’s closest friend. Jon Sassu was named Minister of Justice to replace Mircea Diuvara, who was appointed Minister Without Portfolio.
