The Middle East Institute of the Dropsie College today announced for the academic year 1960-1961, fellowships ranging from an annual value of $600 to $1,000 each, available to qualified students who are candidates for the M.A. and PHD degrees in the languages and area studies of the modern and contemporary Middle East.
The curriculum offered by the Institute includes languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Turkish), literature, history, anthropology, sociology, economics and politics of the Middle East. Applications for fellowships should be submitted before March 15.
