Duluth Jews in Drive to Creat a New Center

The Jews of Duluth are organizing to reach another goal in the develoment of the culture and civic life of their people.

Their object this time is to raise funds in order that the Moses Montefiore Hebrew Institute may be remodeled for development into a Jewish community center. Various organizations are raising building and special scholarship funds.

Not only are the grown-ups taking a leading part in this undertaking, Boy Scout Troop No. 17, sponsored by the B’nai B’rith lodge presented a vaudeville and moving picture show at the institute of which part of the proceeds are scheduled to go toward the development of the institute.

The members of the Lion patrol are: Steinman, Leo Oxman, Milton Gilberstad, Lyle Klatzky, Robert Kernes and Edward Slonim.
