During the month of September 176 Jews entered Palestine. The total immigration for the month was 282, according to figures made public here. During the same period 234 emigrants left the country, including 133 Jews.
The government of Palestine shows a deficit for the first nine months of 1928 in the amount of £673,463 (approximately $3,367,315). The deficit was caused mainly by the payment on account of the Turkish national debt and on account of the Palestine government loan of £579,299 (approximately $2,896,495).
