The Holland-American liner Zaandam, carrying about 50 German Jewish refugees among its 105 passengers, was permitted to sail for the United States today, omitting its usual call at Southampton, although other Netherlands steamers were kept in port because of the Government’s desire to avoid incidents at sea at a time of tension over relations with Germany.
