Complete equipment and prefabricated buildings for the erection of five creches in Israel have been shipped by the Dutch OSE Committee to Haifa, it was announced today. The materials were purchased with a grant of 65,000 guilders made by the Dutch committee of the U.N. appeal for children to the Dutch OSE.
(OSE in Israel presently operates seven convalescent Names for children which served 5,000 youngsters last year, opened 12 new kindergartens in the last 12 months and its ambulances serviced 54 immigrant work camps in which 5,000 children live, Dr. Nissan Wolf, director of the organization, reported today. He said that in one free medical dispensary 1,000 children, mostly immigrants, were treated last year.)
