Denmark and Israel exchanged pledges of friendship here last night at a dinner tendered by External Affairs Minister Jens Otto Krag in honor of Abba S. Eban, Israel Minister without Portfolio.
Premier Viggo Kampmann and other members of the Danish Cabinet were present when Mr. Eban replied to Mr. Krag’s toast with a tribute to Denmark’s “faithful support of Israel’s international rights and its special dedication to maritime freedom.”
During his stay in Copenhagen, Mr. Eban, who is president of the Weizmann Institute, delivered a lecture at Copenhagen University on the progress science in Israel. Prof. Nils Bohr, the Nobel Prize winner, presided at the lecture and spoke in praise of the work of the Weizmann Institute.
