Foreign Minister Abba S. Eban said in an interview with an Israel radio correspondent today that Israel will not object to any arrangement reactivating the Suez Canal, if Israeli ships are allowed free passage in the canal. The Foreign Minister said that such an arrangement need not be part of an overall settlement with Egypt. The U. A. R. closed the canal at the beginning of the June war.
