Eddie Cantor, famous American comedian who is one of the most active personalities in the United Jewish Appeal, arrived today in Israel. Mr. Cantor was met at the airport by U.S. Ambassador James G. McDonald and representatives of the Israel Government and the Jewish Agency as well as by a huge crowd of newsmen and admirers.
The world-renowned violinist Jascha Heifetz left Israel last night at the conclusion of a successful series of concerts performed in various parts of the Jewish state. Before boarding the plane, Mr. Heifetz expressed satisfaction with his Israel tour and promised to return for further concerts.
