Edward M.m. Warburg Receives New York Uja’s Highest Award

Edward M.M. Warburg, head of the nationwide United Jewish Appeal received tonight the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York’s highest honor–the annual chairmen’s award for outstanding service and devotion to the cause of UJA.

The presentation was made at a pre-campaign dinner meeting of New York UJA leaders in the Waldorf Towers apartment of William Rosenwald, a national campaign chairman. The award went to Mr. Warburg for his achievement as chairman of even United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York campaigns and for the inspiration his career has given the organization’s corps of 20,000 volunteers. New York UJA’s treasurer, Samuel D. Leidesdorf, presented the gold plaque on behalf of the general chairmen. Other speakers of the evening were Mr. Rosenwald and Dr. Giora Josephthal, treasurer of the Jewish Agency.
