The appointment of Edwin J. Lukas, former executive director of the Society for Prevention of Crime, as director of the civil rights Program of the American Jewish Committee, was announced here by Jacob Blaustein, national president of the committee. Mr. Lukas will coordinate the civil rights program of the A.J.C.
