Edwin J. Schanfarber, 58, prominent in Jewish welfare activities in this city, died suddenly over the July Fourth week-end, Mr. Schanfarber, who was a well-known Columbus attorney, was a past president of B’nai B’rith District 2 and a former president of the Columbus United Jewish Fund, he was one of three B’nai B’rith delegates to the first session of the American Jewish Conference.
