The Egyptian Foreign Minister declared yesterday in Cairo that despite strong Anglo-American pressure, Egypt will not negotiate directly with Israel for a peace settlement, the Caaro radio monitored here broadcast today.

The broadcast quoted “reliable Arab sources” as believing that a second round of the Arab-Jewish war will begin within a year. Arab rearmament is being forced on the Arab states, the radio said, by “thousands of immigrants arriving in Israel daily, which will provoke Jewish expansionism.”
