An Egyptian Government spokesman attacked U.S.Mideast policy today as encouraging Israeli “aggression” but repeated Egypt’s support for the Big Four peace efforts. Ismat Abdel Meguid said U.S. policy encouraged Israel “to persevere in her aggression and defiance of UN resolutions.” He dismissed the latest American peace proposals as not compatible with United Nations resolutions.
