Egypt does not want permanent peace with Israel now because “the essentials of peace” are lacking, the head of a newly-formed Egyptian information center in New York said here today.
In a press conference announcing the setting-up of the center, Prof. H. K. Selim Bey declared that the Arab peoples have no confidence that because of its flood of immigration, and its small area, Israel will not some time “start to march for more expansion.” He also said that the Arab world insisted that the refugee question be settled before peace could be established.
