Egypt has rejected a U.S. protest against a maritime blockade imposed by three Arab states on Palestine’s coast, the State Department announced today.
Egypt’s reply was described by Department press officer Michael J. McDermott as “not satisfactory.” The Egyptian Government is still adhering “to its position of warning ships not to enter that area, “he said. No replies to the U.S. protest have been received from Syria or Lebanon, McDermott added.
