An Egyptian court in Gaza yesterday sentenced a local Arab, Sobhy Awad Hamida, to life imprisonment on the charge of “spying for Israel, ” it was reported here today from Cairo.
Another report from Cairo said that six Egyptian students were arrested this week by an Israeli patrol when they crossed the armistice line in the Gaza area. (A report from Tel Aviv said that the students were returned today to the Egyptian authorities near Gaza, and that they expressed thanks for “pleasant” treatment.)
