Twelve Egyptian diplomats, the advance party of the Egyptian diplomatic mission to Israel, arrived today. Mohammed Hozandar, Charge d’Affaires at the new Egyptian Embassy, who heads the delegation, said that Ambassador Sood Mortada will arrive in Israel at the beginning of next week. The Egyptian Embassy will be quartered temporarily at the Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel until a permanent location is found in Tel Aviv.
Hozandar said he hoped the opening of the Embassy would lead the way to an overall peace in the Middle East. “Let us hope that this road will not be a long one,” he added.
