Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak met Wednesday with the U.S. House International Relations Committee and discussed anti-Semitism in the Egyptian press, the Israeli-Syrian peace process, weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East and U.S. aid to Egypt. Egypt has asked that its $2.2 billion annual U.S. aid be delivered at the start of each fiscal year, so that the aid could increase with the interest it earns.
