A standing order received today from the Egyptian Royal family for Palestinian furs, robes, and other products is the first result of the Palestine Industrial Exhibition at Cairo. The Egyptian royalty ordered about twenty Palestine products which will be specially packed and will bear the royal seal of Egypt. At the same time many Egyptian firms placed orders totaling L25,000 for mens’ and womens’ clothing.
A proposal by the managers of the Palestine Exhibition that Egyptian industrial circles arrange for an exhibition of their products in Palestine was met with great interest in Cairo. The Egyptian business leaders, however, regretted that it was impossible to do so at the present time because of the war.
