Eight Terrorist Cells Uncovered

Security sources announced that 66 Arabs have been detained recently on suspicion of membership in eight terrorist cells that have been active for two years in the Judaea and Samaria districts of the West Bank. An investigation is underway.

The member of one EI Fatah group, uncovered in Hebron, are believed responsible for placing a bomb in a Jewish restaurant near the Machpela Cave in Hebron two months ago. Another Cell, discovered in Fadjer village near Hebron, has been linked to the firing of Katyusha rockets at Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem two years ago. Members of an EI Fatah cell in Jenin are believed to have been the perpetrators of a fatal bombing incident in the Afule market two years ago.
