A 120-acre estate in Croton-on-the-Hudson, in upstate New York, has been presented to the Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University for use as a scientific park and biological field station, as a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Max L. Friedman, it was announced here today by Dr. Samuel Belkin, University president.
In addition to its use as a biological field station for the development of specialized research programs, the property will be used as an off-campus facility for academic conferences and as a retreat for special studies. The estate includes a large colonial home, several guest cottages, farm buildings, a six-acre lake, orchards and a green house.
