President Eisenhower lauded the America-Israel Society for advancing friendly relations, in a message to the association’s annual dinner.
“The exchange of cultural information and person-to-person communication promoted by the society enrich the friendly relations existing between the peoples of Israel and the United States, “the President said. “It is my hope that activities of this nature will be encouraged among peoples of all countries.”
Personal greetings of the Administration were conveyed by George V. Allen, director of the U.S. Information Agency, who addressed the meeting. Israel Ambassador Avraham Harman also spoke, emphasizing the firm ties linking the two countries.
