President Eisenhower this weekend signed the Congressional bill awarding a gold medal to song writer Irving Berlin in recognition of his services in composing many popular songs, including “God Bless America.”
The President invited Mr. Berlin and his wife to visit the White House to witness the ceremony of signing the bill.
